Position Overview

Primary Purpose of the Position

Reporting to the Director of Annual Giving, the Annual Giving Coordinator will provide general support with mailings, e-solicitations and serve as a liaison with the call program in providing outreach to our alumni, students, parents, friends and other donor constituencies. The coordinator will handle administrative duties primarily for the Director of Annual Giving and will assist other development officers as assigned.

High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education

An Associate Degree required, Bachelor Degree preferred. 5 years of progressive office project management experience in a fast paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience with programs, budgets, event coordination, data collection/tracking and reports is preferred. Must be able to work independently, resolve pertinent issues, respond to sudden changes in work volume, prioritize tasks and be deadline driven. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office software packages.

Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of Annual Giving Program process and University Advancement’s mission and operation. Assists with solicitation of financial support from constituents for activity sponsorships, training staff for fundraising initiatives and represents department with various university projects.

Collects donor data and compiles tracking reports for solicitation and fundraising strategies implemented. Works closely with Advancement Services team to make sure all donor data collected is up-to-date and accurate.

Communicates Annual Giving Program information with numerous offices/units, solicit various constituents for fundraising activities, explains and interpret program components, policies/procedures to meet specific needs of donors/prospects.
