Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education

Education: Earned Doctorate Degree in nursing or related field; Master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university in Nursing is required. Preference given to candidates who possess an earned Doctorate in Nursing or related discipline from an accredited college or university.

Experience: Minimum two years prior full time employment in direct patient care is required. Current unrestricted license as a registered nurse in North Carolina is required (or ability to obtain licensure). Prior teaching experience in theory is preferred. Demonstrative educational leadership and clinical experience in the area of child health

Scholarly Production: Participation in scholarly work, e.g. research and publications. Involvement in professional organizations is desired.

Additionally, candidate must hold a current unrestricted license as a registered nurse in North Carolina or ability to obtain licensure.
