Position Overview

Primary Purpose of the Position

Position Description: The position is a twelve-month, tenure-track appointment, with rank and salary commensurate with experience. Responsibilities include teaching in a graduate physical therapy curriculum in the following content areas: Neuromuscular Motor Control Lifespan Basic skills Geriatrics Cardiopulmonary PT Other areas according to interest

Team oriented, good communication skills

Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education

An earned academic doctorate (Or ABD) in physical therapy or a related field along with the ability to teach neuromuscular or cardiopulmonary physical therapy and related courses is required. PT board certification in neuromuscular specialty area or other PT specialty or teaching and research experience in PT with strong clinical background.

Required License or Certification

A North Carolina Physical Therapy license or eligibility for NC Licensure are required. Advanced clinical certifications are preferred such as NCS or GCS preferred.

Develop course materials and teach in neuromuscular oriented courses, or in basic skills and cardiopulmonary, for graduate PT students.
