Position Overview

Primary Purpose of the Position

Currently, the Department of Rehabilitation Counseling seeks applicants to teach graduate courses in the School of Health Sciences for the 2017-2018 Academic Year.

Teaching online graduate rehabilitation counseling courses; responsible for teaching, grading, and mentoring students; assignments will be online; courses may range across the breathe of courses in elective areas: transition from school to work, deaf and hard of hearing, rural rehabilitation, vocational assessment and required courses in counseling techniques, human growth, theories, vocational assessment, rehabilitation research, foundations of rehabilitation counseling, career and job placement, cultural diversity, practicum and internship courses.

Primary Function of Organizational Unit

Faculty in the The Department of Rehabilitation Counseling instruct and guide graduates who are seeking the Masters of Science in rehabilitation counseling.

Evening online classes may be assigned as needed

Preference is for candidates with at least 3 year of full-time teaching experience with diverse student learners, including 1st year college students, and specifically undergraduates.

Timely submission of semester grades required, and meeting with chair and other rehabilitation counseling faculty as needed.
